DC and Marvel Comics artist Tom Lyle in a coma after suffering aneurysm

Longtime comic book artist Tom Lyle is in a coma after suffering a brain aneurysm. Tomb Raider artist Phillip Sevy broke the news on social media: “So my mentor & friend #TomLyle is in the hospital right now after suffering a brain aneurysm. The doctors are hopeful but he could use all the good thoughts/wishes/etc.” Sevy provided additional information on Lyle’s condition later in the day, explaining that doctors expect to “operate and try and clear up the blood clot” on Wednesday. “He (and his wife Susan Paris Lyle) could use all the good thoughts/wishes/prayers/whatever you can give during this time,”
The 65-year old Lyle has been a prolific artist (and sometimes writer) over his career, but he is most well-known for his work with Marvel and DC Comics working on titles such as Robin, Amazing Spider-Man, and The Punisher, as well as creating characters including the Scarlet Spider and Stephanie Brown (aka The Spoiler, Batgirl).
All the best to Lyle and his family. Good luck and get well soon, sir!
