Artgerm Lau reveals his variant cover for “Mercy”, a new gothic horror comic by Mirka Andolfo
On Tuesday, renowned comic book artist Stanley “Artgerm” Lau revealed his cover artwork for Mercy, a new gothic horror book written and illustrated by comic industry veteran Mirka Andolfo (DC Comics Bombshells, Unnatural). Without further ado, take a look at Lau’s variant cover below.
But what is Mercy all about? Here’s the official breakdown of the book taken from Mercy‘s official Previews page:
When the placid mining village of Woodsburgh is disturbed by a series of brutal murders, the settlement is in turmoil. And as the first snow covers the chaos in a white blanket, a mysterious woman in black arrives, eliciting a totally different kind of unrest. But who is Lady Hellaine, really? And what’s her secret agenda? Acclaimed UNNATURAL creator MIRKA ANDOLFO presents a sensual Victorian gothic horror about otherness, damnation, redemption, and what it means to be a monster in a horror tale perfect for fans of Penny Dreadful, Crimson Peak, The Alienist, Parasol Protectorate, and Dark Shadows. Mercy is already available in several foreign markets, but issue number one is scheduled to be published by Image Comics in March for $3.99. Interested? Intrigued? Let us know in the comments!
