Death returns to Indiegogo in “The Grim Reaper 2”
Over the weekend, husband and wife comic-creating team John Gallagher and Carla Tornielli launched a crowdfunding campaign for The Grim Reaper 2, a 40-page horror adventure graphic novel written by Gallagher and illustrated by Cornielli.
Here’s the breakdown of The Grim Reaper 2 taken from the book’s Indiegogo campaign page:
In this cosmic horror adventure, we will continue the story of the Grim Reaper as he travels to hell, trying to find out who is killing the immortals, and most importantly, with what!
Along the way, he will be faced with many more challenges and foes that will change him forever and put his strength and power to the test. The Grim Reaper has many forms, we have seen him as the mysterious man with the hat, or the cloaked angel of death. This time he is in battle mode, as he unleashes his dark powers, and lets the rage within him consume him.
For this iteration of our beloved character, we have developed crazy new adventures, great supporting characters, tons of action, and lots of great art by the hand of the very talented artist Carla Tornielli. For this campaign, we have decided to try bold things that would surely rock your world, and explore exciting new concepts in this passion project that means so much to both me and Carla, and which has brought us so much joy! I am confident to say that this is our best work yet, and we want you to be a part of it!
Backers can get a digital version of The Grim Reaper 2 for $7, while physical copies start at $14. If you’ve got more cash to spend, there are plenty of additional goodies you can pick up, including a pinup poster, t-shirt, original artwork, copies of the first Grim Reaper book as well as a spinoff story titled The Curse of the Medallion, and the opportunity to have your likeness drawn into the final book.
The project is already 100% funded, so the book should be on its way if everything goes according to plan. You can check out some sample artwork below or visit the full Indiegogo campaign page for The Grim Reaper 2 here.
