Conquest Comics’ “Xenotype” fully funded
Overnight, the crowdfunding campaign for Conquest Comics’ Xenotype achieved its initial funding goal of approximately $16 thousand. Written by Liam Gray and featuring illustrations by “Odysseas Theodoratos” and colors by “Scotsmn” (sic.), Xenotype is a sci-fi adventure influenced by Japanese manga books.
Here’s the story synopsis taken from the Xenotype Indiegogo campaign page:
Warmly familiar and yet unlike anything else you’ve ever read, the innovative XENOTYPE series will infuse SHONEN storytelling with the core and fundamental ideals of the aspirational aspects of the SUPERHERO genre — and through mastery of these fundamentals, exemplify the very best that both can be.
Backers can get either a black and white Manga-format version of Xenotype for $44, while a full color graphic novel-sized copy is $70. If you’ve got extra cash to burn, there are a few other bonuses available, including a sticker, a pin-up poster, and a bundle that includes one of everything.
At the time of this writing, the Xenotype campaign still has 49 days left on the clock, which means there’s still plenty of time to buy in if you’re interested. If you still need convincing, you can check out some sample artwork below or visit the full Xenotype Indiegogo campaign page here.
