“Gunman Clive HD Collection” now available on PS4

Well, this is a happy coincidence! We just reviewed the original Gunman Clive game as part of our Monochrome May event, and here comes the Gunman Clive HD Collection for the PS4 courtesy of publisher Flyhigh Works.

Created by Swedish game creator Bertil Hörberg, Gunman Clive actually began its life as an Android mobile game. Thankfully, Hörberg ported the game to platforms that don’t require virtual buttons, starting with the Nintendo 3DS in December 2012. The sequel followed in 2015, and both games were later bundled into the Gunman Clive HD Collection which first launched for the Wii U in September 2015, followed by the Switch in January 2019.

Here’s the official overview of Gunman Clive HD Collection from Flyhigh Works:

In the year of 18XX, the west is overrun by thugs and outlaws. A group of bandits have kidnapped Mayor Johnsons daughter and are spreading havoc across the land. Gunman Clive must rescue the girl and and bring order to the west, then finish the fight in Gunman Clive 2. His battle against the bandits takes him all around the world and beyond.

Jump and shoot your way across diverse and challenging levels and fight massive bosses. Gunman Clive is an old-school side-scrolling action platform game set in the old west. Bring out your inner cowboy and get ready for some real gunslinger action.
