No Sleep Press has launched a crowdfunding campaign for Vetita: Awakening, a 48-page action/horror comic intended for mature readers. Written by Marcel Dupree and Joshua Metzger and featuring illustrations by Gaurav Shrivastava and colors by Chuck Michael Obach, Vetita looks to be a hyper-violent take on vampire hunting.

Here’s the official plot synopsis taken from the Vetita Indiegogo campaign page:

Luna has never known her mother. One morning at breakfast she gets a call that her mom has died. Not only that, she finds out that she’s part of a line of vampire hunters called Vetita. Being a Vetita means she has all of the vampires strengths and none of their weaknesses as long as she doesnt give into the lust.

Backers can get a digital version of Vetita: Awakening for $8, while physical copies start at $25. If you have extra cash to spend, you can also pick up multiple copies of the comic, variant covers, pinup posters, a digital wallpaper, and the chance to have your likeness drawn into the pages of the final book. No Sleep Press is also offering free shipping for domestic U.S. orders, which is a welcome bonus.
