Small Texas Town Declares “Johnny’s Law” in Deltaverse’s Latest Graphic Novel
Earlier this week, independent comic book publisher Deltaverse launched a crowdfunding campaign for Johnny’s Law, a 50-page graphic novel that promises “action, martial arts, ‘gun-fu,’ wrath & revenge.”
Written and colored by Alejandro Garcia and illustrated by Ibai Canales (Iron Sights), Johnny’s Law follows the adventures of the titular Johnny, an elite assassin who gets in trouble with his employer for refusing to kill a child. It also takes place in Texas, so bonus points for that.
Here’s the official plot synopsis taken from the Johnny’s Law Indiegogo campaign page:
Johnny has come far from his days as a gang banger, to the premiere hitman for the West Coast Cartel. When old employers give him new assignments in New York, Johnny discovers he is being manipulated into breaking his only rule, no women, no children. Whose hand is pulling strings, and why do they want a kid murdered?
Backers can get a copy of Johnny’s Law and a poster for $25. If you have more money to throw around, you can also pick up additional copies of the book, a variant cover, a trading card, and the chance to have your likeness drawn into the final product.
