“Aleste Collection” Coming to Switch, PS4 in December

M2 recently announced that Aleste Collection is coming to the Nintendo Switch and PS4 as the part of their “M2 ShotTriggers” line.

The compilation will include:

  • Aleste (1988, SEGA Mark III)
  • GG Aleste (1991, SEGA Game Gear)
  • GG Aleste II (1993, SEGA Game Gear)
  • Power Strike II (1993, SEGA Master System)

Aleste Collection is currently scheduled to release in Japan on 24 December priced at 6,800 yen for a physical edition (approximately $65 U.S.) and 4,500 yen for the digital version (approximately $43 U.S.). The physical edition will come packaged with a staff interview book.

M2 also plans to release a limited edition bundle of the four Aleste Collection built into a white Game Gear Micro unit, which comes with a “Big Window Micro” peripheral, a 32-page art book, and of course, the staff interview book. That’ll set you back 14,800 yen (approximately $142 U.S…. yeesh).

Want to play an intense shoot-em-up on this tiny thing?

More details are expected at the SEGA/Atlus TV livestream during Tokyo Game Show 2020 Online on 26 September at 4:20 pm JST (3:20 am EST… double yeesh). There is currently no word on a Western release, but both consoles are region-free, so importing remains an option for those of us anxious Westerners.
