Johnny Phantasm Toys Coming Just in Time For Christmas… Almost

Veteran comic book artist and Johnny Phantasm co-creator Patrick Thomas Parnell is prepping the next project featuring his supernatural antihero… and this time, it’s not a book.*

It’s a toy this time around – a 3 3/4 inch action figure, to be precise. Your merry mob hitman will be available with 6 points of articulation, interchangeable heads, several of accessories including Johnny’s trademark pistols, and will be available in three different variant colors: 1977 purple, 1985 black, and glow-in-the-dark green.

It glows…

The package designs are still being finalized, but there are plans for multiple options, including both G.I. Joe and DC Super Powers-inspired artwork. There’s also plans to include a bonus comic book with each action figure, similar to the old McFarlane Spawn toys.

So, I guess it actually is a book. Kind of.

Originally planned to deliver by Christmas, it now looks as though fulfillment will slip into 2021. However, the Indiegogo campaign is still expected to launch on Black Friday (27 November), so Johnny can still be a part of your holiday shopping hijinks.

While we all wait for Black Friday, you can sign up for email updates on the Johnny Phantasm action figure at the official Indiegogo campaign page. (Or watch Sit DOWN Sunday every week on Patrick’s YouTube channel… just sayin’!)
