Over the weekend, independent comic book creator Dionysios launched a crowdfunding campaign for The Tome of Reckoning, a 36-page horror/fantasy comic written and illustrated by Dionysios and featuring illustrations by Jewel Jones. This first issue is titled The First Good Day of the Year, and it represents the beginning of a larger arc expected to be at least five issues long.

Here’s the brief plot synopsis taken from The Tome of Reckoning Indiegogo campaign page:

The Tome of Reckoning follows a group of misfits as they race to save humanity from impending doom. All the while, fighting a two-front war against shadowy government forces and an ancient evil from beyond.

Backers can get a physical copy of issue 1 of The Tome of Reckoning for $15, which comes with both variant covers and a sticker set. If you have more cash to spend, you can also pick up some original artwork, a pin set, a postcard set, and a poster. It is also worth noting that there is an additional shipping charge starting at $10 for those in the United States.
