Earlier this week at the New Game Plus Expo, publisher Natsume announced that Pocky & Rocky Reshrined would be coming to the West sometime this fall.

Previously announced as Pocky & Rocky 2021, Reshrined is an overhead action game starring a shrine maiden and tanooki who battle across a world inspired by Japanese mythology. Natsume also describes Reshrined as the third installment of the Pocky & Rocky series, although the Game Boy Advance title Pocky & Rocky with Becky was already considered the third P&R game. Who’s counting?

So far, Reshrined has been confirmed for release on the PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

The adventures of Pocky and Rocky begin again! Pocky & Rocky Reshrined is the third installment in the original shrine maiden shooting series. The new game is being developed by the original development team, Tengo Project.

Pocky & Rocky follows the adventures of a young Shinto shrine maiden named Pocky and her companion, Rocky the raccoon, as they attempt to save a group of creatures known as the Nopino Goblins. Gameplay takes place from a top-down perspective and features both single-player and cooperative modes.
