Sharp Edge Comics’ “Chaotic Flux” is Mutants Versus Machines for Mature Readers (Crowdfunding Spotlight)

Earlier this month, Sharp Edge Comics launched a crowdfunding campaign for the the third issue of Chaotic Flux, a 30-page comic book creator intended for mature audiences.

Written by Scott Payne and featuring illustrations by Brian Balondo (Rising Sun) and colors by Bryan Magnaye (Ravage – Kill All Men!) Chaotix Flux is described “as one of the darkest and most brutal SciFi sagas ever told.”

Here’s the official plot synopsis taken from the Chaotic Flux Indiegogo campaign page:

Chaotic Flux centers on a group of unique heroes who unite in the future to rid the world of Dreadfiends, flesh-devouring mutant abominations. These heroes form a group called the Crimson Flame and become humanity’s last hope of survival.

Chaotic Flux #2 left Zithara, a powerful hybrid alien warrior, surprised by a Dreadfiend’s extreme mutating ability. This reborn monster won’t stop at anything until it gets its revenge on her by ripping her apart just and devouring her rare hybrid flesh.

As she is fighting to survive this new horror the twisted cyborg Lt. Vladic is waiting for his chance to finally bring her to his master, Thraxus Prime. Lt. Vladic will unknowingly kick off a series of events that will begin Zithara on a new path of daring heroics, with an exo-suit pilot named Sorin and an highly advanced A.I. war machine named Strife. Together they will start the super team, The Crimson Flame.

Remind anyone else of Inhumanoids?

Backers can get a digital version of Chaotic Flux issue 3 for $5, while physical copies start at $10. If you have more cash to spend, you can also receive multiple copies of the book, signed copies, a metallic variant cover, t-shirt, mask, hat, art print, trading cards, or commissioned art by Brian Balondo. There’s also options to pick up issues 1 and 2 if you need to catch up. It is also worth noting that there is an additional shipping charge starting at $5 for those in the United States.
