Koei Tecmo Announces Two “Blue Reflection” Games

Koei Tecmo recently announced Blue Reflection Tie and Blue Reflection Sun, both tie-ins to the previously announced anime Blue Reflection Ray, which is itself based on 2017’s Blue Reflection video game.

Details on the games are scant, but we do know that Blue Reflection Tie is coming to Steam PC, Nintendo Switch, and PS4 while Blue Reflection Sun is coming to Windows PC (via DMM), iOS, and Android. Fortunately, Koei Tecmo has already confirmed that Blue Reflection Tie will be getting a western release under the title Blue Reflection: Second Light across the same platforms.

Here’s a brief breakdown of the new Blue Reflection projects from Nicchiban:

Blue Reflection is a 2017 video game from Gust Co. who are known for their work on the Atelier franchise; the game was published by Koei-Tecmo. Blue Reflection follows Hinako Shirai, a student at Hoshinomiya Girls High School in contemporary Japan.

Shirai used to be a ballet dancer who had to quit following her passion after an accident which injured her leg. However she’s given the power to fight as a magical girl (called a “Reflector”) and is once again able to move freely thanks to the power of being a Reflector.

The Blue Reflection Ray anime is scheduled to air on 8 April. Those who can read Japanese can find more information on all Blue Reflection projects via the official website here.
