Indiegogo Campaign for ImaginAction Comics’ “Raptor” Ends Successfully; Still Available In Demand
This past weekend, the crowdfunding campaign for ImaginAction Comics’ Raptor: The Preamble ended successfully, raising more than $4 thousand from 92 backers at closing time.
Written by Ryan Haack, co-written by Bruce Berrueco and created/illustrated by Milton Aguiar, Raptor is a 54-page superhero origin story.
Here’s the official pitch taken from the Raptor Indiegogo campaign page:
Brian Brens returns to his city from serving in the military for several years. When The Shrie, an evil alien force returns to attack the people of Earth, Brian uses his new resources to take on the enemy! We’ll meet allies and, of course, enemies! Find out on this book!
What makes this book different from the other superhero books, is that this isn’t only a simple origin story. It is an event that forces the protagonist to step up, while we learn how he became the hero he’s meant to be. It’ll kickstart a whole new story to this world.
Miss out on the crowdfunding period? Don’t sweat it. The Raptor campaign page has transitioned to an in demand store for a limited time, so you can still buy into the project if you don’t dawdle.
Backers can get a digital version of Raptor for $10, while physical copies of the book start at $24. If you have more money to spend, you can also pick up a poster, t-shirt, or a sketch cover.
Congratulations Aguiar, Haack, and everyone on team Raptor. You can check out some sample artwork below or visit the Raptor: The Preamble Indiegogo campaign page here.
