The Clock is Ticking on Darkgift Comics’ “Hunting Alice” (Crowdfunding Spotlight)
Only a few short days remain in the crowdfunding period for Hunting Alice, a 48-page black and white graphic novel by Darkgift Comics.
Written by Auby Anne Meletio and illustrated by Anthony Romano, Hunting Alice was originally conceived as a psychological thriller television script blending inspiration from The X-Files with The Silence of the Lambs with a healthy splash of Alice in Wonderland.
Here’s the official plot synopsis taken from the Hunting Alice Indiegogo campaign page:
Agent Verily Wingate must turn to her former mentor-turned-serial-killer, Fauste (previously thought dead) to help stop a mysterious new serial killer. While hunting him down, she starts to realize she may be the hunted.
What is this connection she shares with these two madmen?
But that’s not the only mystery Verily will uncover. This journey will take her down a psychological roller coaster through the dream world, other realities, and past lives. Which is the real “her”? Are any? Are they all?
And who is the mysterious organization known only as The Jabberwocky?
Backers can get a digital version of Hunting Alice for $6, while signed physical copies (with a bonus trading card) start at $16. If you have more money to spend, you can also receive multiple copies of the book, a variant cover, original artwork, two blacklight tapestries, and an ashcan-sized book featuring the deadly, sword-wielding vigilante Roulette. It is also worth noting that there is an additional shipping charge starting at $10 for those in the United States.
It’s certainly possible that the campaign will transition to an in-demand store, but it’s not guaranteed. Don’t delay if you’re interested. You can check out some sample artwork below or visit the full Hunting Alice Indiegogo campaign page here.
