Paramilitary Biopunk Action in Aaron Calimeri’s “MRDR WPN” (Crowdfunding Spotlight)

Independent comic book creator Aaron Calimeri launched a crowdfunding campaign for MRDR WPN, a 20-page project presented in glorious black and white.

Co-written by Calimeri and Adam AF and featuring illustrations by Rafael Chrestani, MRDR WPN is described as “paramilitary biopunk action comic book.”

Here’s the official plot synopsis taken from the MRDR WPN Indiegogo campaign page:

While on a mission to obtain data from a rebel gang, MRDR WPN jacks into a hidden information system and accidentally frees himself from the mind control of his hackers. Discovering the location of a captured woman, he sets out to find her and learn the truth behind what’s going on.

Prepare for the next generation of military combat.

Backers can get a copy of MRDR WPN (complete with a bonus poster and trading card) for $10. If you have more cash to spend, you can also pick up multiple copies of the book or a copy of Calimeri’s previous book, More Lethal (which we reviewed here). It is also worth noting that there is an additional shipping charge starting at $10 for those in the United States.
