“Hacha Mecha Fighter” Joins the Arcade Archives on PS4, Switch Today

Hamster has announced that lesser-known 90s arcade shoot-em-up Hacha Mecha Fighter will be available on PS4 and Nintendo Switch today (3 June) as part of the digital Arcade Archives series.

Originally released by NMK in 1991, Hacha Mecha Fighter is described as an approachable side-scrolling shooting game that is easy to pick up and play, even for gamers who aren’t seasoned veterans of the genre. One or two players control Kawauso and Tsuchibuta as they fly through colorful multiple environments and defeat waves of quirky enemies along the way. There’s also giant, flying sunfish.

Like other Arcade Archives titles, players can post their high scores to the online leaderboards and change the various game settings to match their own personal skill levels and taste.

Arcade Archives Hacha Mecha Fighter is available today for $7.99 via PSN and the Nintendo Switch eShop. You can check out some screenshots below, or visit the official Hamster website here.
