An independent father/son/daughter creative team recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for Tiger-Boy Versus issues 1 & 2 (Vs. The World and Vs. The Tiger Lord).

The campaign is already fully funded, and even better yet, the bulk of the production work is already finished, so there should be less of a wait to fulfill the project than is typical with other crowdfunded books.

Written and illustrated by Jordan Kroeger, Tiger-Boy Versus is a vivid, fantasy adventure intended starring a five-year old superhero (Tiger-Boy). Here’s the official plot synopsis taken from the Tiger-Boy Versus Kickstarter campaign page, followed by a fully voiced video edition of Tiger-Boy Versus The World:

When Captain Skyshark, a self-described legendary sky-pirate, attempts a mobile raid on the Kaos Club, a band of pay-for-hire Warriors, she winds up with more than she bargained for in the form of Tiger-Boy, a 5-year-old with unheard-of power.

Skyshark brings the boy to Tiger City in an attempt to hold the boy for ransom to the evil Tiger Lord. Fighting, treasure, mayhem and fun ensues!

Backers can get a digital version of Tiger-Boy Versus issues 1 & 2 for $5, while physical copies start at $10. If you have more cash to spend, you can also receive multiple copies of the book, a holographic sticker, commissioned artwork, two Tiger-Boy mini-comic “zines”, and a 130-page graphic novel titled The FIST.
