Jessica Vanderpol’s “InterStella Space Angel” Shoots for the Stars on Indiegogo (Crowdfunding Spotlight)

Independent comic book creator Jessica Vanderpol recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for InterStella Space Angel, an all-new, 32-page graphic novel. At the time of this writing, the project has raised roughly 80% of its initial funding goal with approximately six days left in the campaign.

Written and illustrated by Vanderpol, InterStella is described as a “whimsical, supernatural space comic introducing Stella—an angel who watches over the cosmos!” Here’s the official plot synopsis taken from the InterStella Indiegogo campaign page:

MEET STELLA—the angelic being who’s in charge of taking care of the cosmos and managing the inner workings of outer space. From sweeping the rings of Saturn, to replacing burnt-out stars—she’s got every space chore under control. But even with every star at her fingertips, she still wonders what life is like on earth, and how she can help bring the light of hope to a world in need…

Backers can get a copy of InterStella for $10. If you have more cash to spend, you can also pick up the following:

  • Multiple copies of the book
  • Magnet
  • Bookmark
  • Art card
  • A 30 minute art critique video chat with Jessica Vanderpol

It is also worth noting that there is an additional shipping charge starting at $5 for those in the United States.
