Bullet Hell Shooter “Razion EX” Coming to Switch eShop Next Week
On Friday, independent game developer NGDEV announced that their horizontal-scrolling bullet hell shooter Razion EX will be released on the Nintendo Switch eShop on 16 September. The game has been available for a few months in physical format via NGDEV’s website, but this is Razion EX’s first wide release in a digital format.
First released for the Neo Geo in 2014, the Switch port of Razion EX features a number of tweaks and upgrades over the Neo Geo original. Players pilot a space fighter through six stages filled with enemies, obstacles, and, of course, bullets.
Here’s the official breakdown of the game from NGDEV:
3 game modes (NOVICE/NORMAL/MANIAC)
Novice mode is significantly easier and will allow more people to enjoy the great graphics and music.
Changes for EX version:
• reworked game play
• rebalanced and reduced difficulty
• added bullet canceling for certain enemies
• reworked controls and ship movements
• upgraded graphics and added 32 bit effects
• upgraded to widescreen
• added scanline filter
• slightly reworked levels
• reworked scoring mechanics
• unlockable continues
• added training mode for unlocked levels and bosses
• added small ending
• CD quality music
