Celebrate Autumn with Patrick Thomas Parnell’s “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” on Indiegogo

To mark the first day of the Fall season, independent comic book creator Patrick Thomas Parnell launched a crowdfunding campaign for The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, an abridged and illustrated version of the 1819 classic by Washington Irving.* The project is already fully funded, having raised more than $4 thousand at the time of this writing.

While not a traditional comic book, Parnell promises 36-pages of nigh-fully illustrated story. Here’s the official pitch for The Legend of Sleepy Hollow from the book’s Indiegogo campaign page:

Backers can get a hardbound copy of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow for $25. If you have more cash to spend, you can also pick up the following:

  • Multiple copies of the book
  • Signed copies
  • Two foil prints
  • A witch’s coin (don’t call it a poker chip!)
  • Original artwork
  • An original art sketch inside the cover

It is also worth noting that there is an additional shipping charge starting at $10 for those in the United States.

According to Parnell, the bulk of the work on the book is already complete, and there’s a chance that the project could begin shipping by Christmas.
