“Coloring the Undead” Adult Coloring Book Now on Indiegogo (Festival of Dread Special)
The pain… the pain of being blank!
We don’t normally cover things like coloring books here at The Splintering, but in light of our ongoing Festival of Dread event, eh, why not?
Independent artist Rob Shaffer recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for Coloring the Undead, a 42-page adult coloring book featuring a horde of ghastly and gruesome images “so frightening you may not finish it!”
Backers can get a copy of Coloring the Undead for $18. If you have more cash to spend, you can also pick up multiple copies of the book, a monster pencil case and colored pencil set, a copy of Shaffer’s previous coloring book Mythzar’s Menagerie of Monsters, and art prints of the books’ covers. You also have the chance to have your likeness drawn into the final book.
Both deluxe packages come with an original piece of 8.5×11 horror or fantasy artwork, which may – but is not guaranteed to be – from Coloring the Undead or Mythzar’s Menagerie of Monsters.
If you’re looking for something more appropriate for the younger ghouls in your household, there is also a 24-page, all-ages-appropriate activity book titled Frank Loses His Mind. Here’s a quick breakdown of that book from the Indiegogo campaign page:
Frank is a simple monster. One day he is going to work and forgets the most important thing he has. HIS BRAIN! Now he must get the help of his fellow monsters to find it.
It is worth noting that there is no additional shipping charge for backers in the United States, and if you back the project before the crowdfunding period ends, Shaffer also promises to deliver a random zombie sketch card.
