Taito’s Labyrinth Action Arcade Game “Ramais” Now on Nintendo Switch, PS4
Game publisher Hamster has announced that Ramais, the Pac-Man-like maze action game, is now available on PS4 and Nintendo Switch as part of the digital Arcade Archives series.
Originally released in arcades by Taito in 1988, Ramais has never received an official home release until now.
In Ramais, players pilot a three-wheeled vehicle called the “organizer”through multiple labyrinths to rescue your captured brother. Unlike other maze-based arcade games, Ramais has an ending – several of them, in fact – and the ending you get will depend on what items you collect and how you complete the labyrinths, so there’s plenty to motivate you to replay the game and try new strategies.
It is also worth noting that this version of Ramais uses the Japanese ROM for the main part of the game.
Like other Arcade Archives titles, players can post their high scores to the online leaderboards and change various game settings to match their own personal skill levels and taste.
Arcade Archives Ramais is available today for $7.99 via PSN and the Nintendo Switch eShop.
