NMK’s “Gunnail” Joins the Arcade Archives on Nintendo Switch and PS4

Game publisher Hamster has announced that 2D arcade shoot ‘em up Gunnail is now available on PS4 and Nintendo Switch as part of the digital Arcade Archives series.

Originally released in Japanese arcades by NMK in 1992, this new Arcade Archives release is not only the first console port of Gunnail, but it’s also the first time that Western gamers will get the chance to play the game.

Gunnail is a 2D, vertically scrolling shoot ‘em up with a unique scoring feature called the “multiple shield system”, where players receive higher scores the fewer shields they have.

Like other Arcade Archives titles, players can post their high scores to the online leaderboards and change various game settings to match their own personal skill levels and taste.

Arcade Archives Gunnail is available today for $7.99 via PSN and the Nintendo Switch eShop.
