Isekai Manga Parody “A High School Girl In The Crusades” Now on Indiegogo (Crowdfunding Spotlight)

Independent author and comic book creator Jon Del Arroz recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for A High School Girl In The Crusades, a 22-page, black and white, manga-style comic. The campaign is already fully funded, having raised more than $4 thousand at the time of this writing.

Written by Del Arroz and featuring illustrations by The Quaff (Shotgun Samurai), A High School Girl In The Crusades is a parody of the isekai (portal) manga genre, which involves a character from earth being transported to a different time, world, or dimension.

Here’s the brief plot synopsis taken from the A High School Girl In The Crusades Indiegogo campaign page:

A High School Girl In The Crusades is a 22-page manga-style isekai parody about a high school girl transported to the crusades (duh!). Art is 100% by The Quaff (Shotgun Samurai, Nuclear Warhead Samurai).

Backers can get a digital version of A High School Girl In The Crusades for $8, while physical copies start at $15. If that’s not enough crusader adventure for you, this campaign also represents a second chance to pick up Del Arroz’s Deus Vult, a 66-page fantasy book about a crusader transported to a dangerous world of demons, this time with a new variant cover.

If you have more cash to spend, you can also receive the following:

  • Multiple copies of the book
  • Original art sketch
  • The chance to have your likeness drawn into the final book
  • The Quaff’s Shotgun Samurai book
  • Del Arroz’s back catalogue of comic books and novels

It is also worth noting that there is an additional shipping charge starting at $10 for those in the United States.
