Raymond Leonard’s “Violet Bird” Now Seeking Vengeance on Indiegogo (Crowdfunding Spotlight)

Independent comic book creator Raymond Leonard recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for his latest project, Violet Bird: Vengeance Strikes issue one. The campaign is already fully funded, having raised roughly 165% of its initial funding goal at the time of this writing.

Written and illustrated by Leonard (Agent Solo), Violet Bird is a superhero tale in the spirit of Daredevil and Batman.

Here’s the official plot synopsis taken from the Violet Bird Indiegogo campaign page:

A young woman (Shavon Geralds) grows up to be a vigilante after witnessing her parents’ murder as a child in Chicago. She works as a high class lawyer by day, but her personal time is spent engaging in vigilante murders that she hopes will lead her to her ultimate target – the mobster responsible for her parents’ death.
