On Friday, publisher RedDeer.Games announced that retro-inspired shoot ‘em up P.3 is now available on Nintendo Switch.

The first game by solo developer DevJgame, P.3 is a vertical space shooter with rogue-like gameplay and a slick throwback aesthetic reminiscent of classic arcade games. Players must blast into deep space and save the galaxy from – wait for it – aliens.

Here’s the official breakdown of P.3 from RedDeer.Games:

SIMPLE CONTROLS, HARDCORE CHALLENGE!

Two buttons – that’s all you need to control the spaceship. By steering the ship left or right, you will shoot at enemies – when the ship is flying straight, it will not shoot.

Push left and right simultaneously to fire an alternative weapon. Simple, yet hard to master when you facing a whole horde of aliens!

ACTION-PACKED GAMEPLAY

There’s no time to rest in space – non-stop action through a unique 5 levels, each topped off with a boss fight! In battle, you can earn upgrades and new weapons that will help you along the way!

RETRO FEEL

From gameplay to graphics, P.3 was created as a tribute to classic shmups and bullet hell games. All this is accompanied by a dynamic soundtrack!
