Charlie Chaplin Biographic Novel “Charlie’s London: From Walworth to Wartime” Fully Funded on Indiegogo

Earlier this week, the crowdfunding campaign for “biographic novel” Charlie’s London : From Walworth to Wartime went live on Indiegogo. The project is already fully funded, having raised nearly $15 thousand at the time of this writing.

Written by the nigh-anonymous “Charlie” and featuring illustrations by Micky Arts, the Charlie’s London series recounts the tales of film legend Charlie Chaplin during the periods he spent in his home city of jolly old Londinium.

Here’s the official plot synopsis taken from the Charlie’s London : From Walworth to Wartime Indiegogo campaign page:

As the premiere of Limelight unfolds, Charlie waits for the press and public reaction to one of his most personal works, his fate is being decided hundreds of miles away in a land he once called home.

However, this is not the first time where drama off screen and on has blurred the lines between fact and fiction…..

In 1921 Chaplin returned to his beloved London, the most famous man in the world! Little did he know that that same fame and glory would be the foundations for some of his most artistically brilliant, but also scandalous and heartbreaking years of his career.

Backers can get a copy of Charlie’s London : From Walworth to Wartime for approximately $25 (converted from British pounds). If you have more money to spend, you can also receive the following:

  • Multiple copies of the book
