Joe M. Sonntag’s “Reaper Destroyer” Reaps Massive Cash on Indiegogo

He reaps and destroys! Or maybe he destroys reapers! Either way, he’s well financed.

Comic creator Joe M. Sonntag recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for Reaper Destroyer issue 1, a 32+ page, supernatural adventure comic book. The project funded in minutes, and the campaign has raised more than $30 thousand at the time of this writing.

Here’s the creative team behind the book:

And here’s the official pitch taken from the Reaper Destroyer Indiegogo campaign page:

Reaper Destroyer collects some of the Industries top talents to bring you this sci-fi action thrill ride.

In a disparate New York City, Matthew Walker wages a battle over his very identity. Locked in a struggle with an ancient spirit of death, over control of a supernatural suit of armor to which both are bound. When waring factions of immortals reveal themselves, and their intentions to claim control of the armor, Man and Spirit form an uneasy alliance.

Backers can get a copy of Reaper Destroyer for $25. If you have more cash to spend, you can also pick up the following:

  • Multiple copies of the book
  • Variant covers
  • A line art edition
  • A foil preview ashcan
  • Original artwork

It is also worth noting that there is an additional shipping charge starting at $10 for those in the United States.
