Morgan Quaid’s “Shadow’s Daughter” Now In-Demand on Indiegogo (Crowdfunding Spotlight)

Independent comic book creator Morgan Quaid recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for Shadow’s Daughter, which includes a two-part miniseries and four separate one-shot comics. The campaign is now in-demand, having reached its initial funding goal in May.
Inspired by Japanese manga books, Shadow’s Daughter is a supernatural crime story featuring a heroine who can manipulate shadows.
Here’s the official breakdown of the project from the Shadow’s Daughter Indiegogo campaign page:
Shadow’s Daughter is a supernatural, post-apocalyptic comic set in a world beset by preternatural beings and natural disasters which coincide with the rising of the demon moon. The comic features a strong female lead who possesses the ability to manipulate shadow as a physical object.
At its heart, this story is a crime/mystery narrative with supernatural/post-apocalyptic elements. The comic features a mix of intense dialogue, introspective discovery, and bursts of action whilst steadily introducing a group of core characters that surround Summer.
Backers can get a digital version of Shadow’s Daughter issue 1 for approximately $6 US (converted from Australian dollaridoos), while physical copies start at approximately $11. If you’re interested in the full run of all six books, that package will run you $22 while physical copies of the books start at approximately $40. There are other bonus items available, too, some of which are bundled into the larger packages:
- Multiple copies of the book

- A digital soundtrack
- PDF copy of Sword of Sorrows by Ilhan Bartel
- The chance to co-write a spinoff story with Morgan Quaid
It is also worth noting that there is an additional shipping charge starting at approximately $7 for backers in the United States. (Printing is planned in both the US and Australia)
