Kenneth Rocafort’s “GROKEN 2” Raises $30k in Opening Hours

On Wednesday, renowned comic book artist Kenneth Rocafort launched a crowdfunding campaign for GROKEN book 2, a 48+ page sci-fi/fantasy graphic novel.

The project is already fully funded, having raised roughly $30 thousand at the time of this writing.

Created, written, illustrated, lettered and edited by Kenneth Rocafort, GROKEN 2 is the follow-up to the first GROKEN book, which was successfully crowdfunded in 2021.

Here’s the official pitch taken from the GROKEN 2 Indiegogo campaign page:

This Odyssey is set in a rotten era where myths were sadly forgotten and science corrupted the hopes of a good tomorrow. A singular theory makes the regiment shudder and the system fears that the secret will be revealed and that the right to the crown will be claimed by the myth, a creature who bears the name of GROKEN.

GROKEN.

Born as a beast, forged as a man.

Backers can get a signed copy of GROKEN 2 for $25. If you have more cash to spend, you can also receive the following:

  • Multiple copies of the book
  • Variant covers
  • A MITOGRAFIA sketchbook
  • A reprint edition of GROKEN book 1 if you want to catch up

It is also worth noting that there is an additional shipping charge starting at $15 (!) for those in the United States.
