Nichibutsu’s “Soldier Girl Amazon” Now on Nintendo Switch via the Arcade Archives

Game publisher Hamster has announced that sci-fi shooter Soldier Girl Amazon is now available on Nintendo Switch as part of the digital Arcade Archives series. It is already available on PS4.

Originally released in arcades by Nichibutsu in 1986, Soldier Girl Amazon is a vertical shooter that perfectly reflects the pop culture of the 80s. Players control a sword and shield-wielding Amazon who fights to reclaim Earth from hordes of “strange beasts and crazy cyborgs” across eight stages. You can also claim “air Mobils” (futuristic motorcycles) from enemies, which bolster you defense and mobility.

Like other Arcade Archives titles, players can post their high scores to the online leaderboards and change various game settings to match their own personal skill levels and taste.

Arcade Archives Soldier Girl Amazon is available today for $7.99 via PSN and the Nintendo Switch eShop.
