Veteran comic book artist Andy Smith recently revealed his next project, a 64-page fantasy book titled Kor-Drath: The Reckoning.

This time joined by co-creator Dennis Turner, Smith is switching gears from his 1stMan superhero series and delving into a world of swords and sorcery akin to Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian.

Here’s the brief plot synopsis taken from Kor-Drath’s Indiegogo prelaunch page:

Kor-Drath’s rage is coming, drenched in blood!

From the creator of 1stMAN comes a stark tale set in a distant and brutal land filled with ancient magic & the undead. An epic journey of blood, gore, vengeance, and a love stronger than time itself.

The Necra-Knight and Lilineth unleashed an army of the undead upon Kor-Drath’s village, laying it to waste. Now Kor-Drath and Adryana are on a quest for vengeance…
