90s-Inspired Superhero Comic “Screecher” Now on Indiegogo

Independent comic book creator Nick Gibson recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for Screecher #1: As The Owl Flies, a book intended for fans of comics from the late 90s and early 2000s.

Written by Nick Gibson and featuring illustrations by Brian Quiroga and colors by Goichimonji, Screecher is a superhero story inspired by vigilante-style heroes like Batman.

Avery Fletcher was a normal girl. That is until the day her father Harrison Fletcher was jailed for a crime he did not commit. Seven years later she’s back in her home town of Ann Arbor, Michigan. With not much time left. Avery must right the wrongs of the past. Not as herself, but as the costumed hero SCREECHER!

Screecher is a tale inspired by the comics of the late 90’s/early 2000’s.

It is the story of a woman facing a question

Can she free her father after 7 years away?

Jailed for a crime he did not commit. Avery Fletcher is whisked away from New York back to her home town of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Having been gone for 7 years, Avery must come to terms with the fact that not only has her home changed, but so has she.
