On Friday, Camel Moon launched a crowdfunding campaign for Boots and Heels issues 0-3, the first arc of the 13-issue Boots and Heels Saga maxi-series.

The project is already fully funded, having raised more than $10 thousand at the time of this writing. All issues of the saga are already drawn, and will be released over the next two years.

Boots and Heels is a tongue-in-cheek comedy adventure based on current-year, online comic book fan discourse. This naturally puts the “Comics Gators” at odds with the “X-ThYmZ” and only the superhero duo of Boots and Heels can intervene and save the planet.

Here’s the official pitch taken from the Boots and Heels Indiegogo campaign page:

Issue #0 Prequel:

In the year 2020, NYC is in ashes after the disastrous battle between the Comics Gators and The Fabulous X-ThYmZ! Now with global annihilation on the horizon, Boots and Heels are sent back from the year 3210 to save the Earth from blasting into a million bits!

Issues #1-3:

Now back in the 21st Century, Boots and Heels must track down NYC’s greatest hero, The Clawed-Agent, moments before his death to recruit him in an effort to keep the planet from exploding! But the Clawed-Agent isn’t too keen on hearing their proposal…

But this is just the beginning!

“The Boots and Heels Saga’ will be a 13 issue maxi-series offered over 4 phases. All issues are ALREADY DRAWN and will be released over the next 2 years. The series will be split into two titles: ‘Boots and Heels’ & ‘The Clawed-Agent’.

Backers can get a copy of issue 0 and a bonus sticker for $20, while issues 1-3 (also with a bonus sticker) start at $60. If you have more cash to spend, you can also receive the following tchotchkes and extras:
