Retro Shooter “Senjyo” Joins the Arcade Archives on PS4, Nintendo Switch

Publisher Hamster has announced that sci-fi shoot ‘em up Senjyo is now available on Nintendo Switch and PS4 as part of the digital Arcade Archives series.

Originally released in Japanese arcades by TEKHAN (now Koei Tecmo) in 1983, Senjyo is a vertical shoot ‘em up where players control a futuristic space tank (!) to destroy a ferocious alien menace. The aliens approach from all sides, and so you’ll have to keep an eye on your radar so as not to be caught by surprise.

While a port of Sanjyo was released on the MSX, but this is the first time that an arcade-perfect version of the game will be available on home consoles.

Like other Arcade Archives titles, players can post their high scores to the online leaderboards and change various game settings to match their own personal skill levels and taste.

Arcade Archives Senjyo is available today for $7.99 via PSN and the Nintendo Switch eShop.
