Independent comic book creator John Dillard recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for The Buckler: Canadian Tussle, follow-up to the first issue of The Buckler that was successfully crowdfunded in 2020.

The new project is already fully funded, having raised more than $1500 at the time of this writing.

This campaign also represents an early success of an entirely new crowdfunding platform – Fund My Comic,* which was created in response to the ideologically driven practices of other legacy platforms, including shadow-banning campaigns and banning some projects or creators altogether.

The Buckler is back and he’s not takin’ any of yer $#!%!

In this rage filled rampage of revenge The Buckler sets out to reclaim superiority.

Backers can get a digital version of The Buckler: Canadian Tussle for $4, while physical copies (along with a digital PDF) start at $15. If you have more cash to spend, you can also pick up some original watercolor artwork.
