It feels good to be bad!

Independent comic book creator John Dillard recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for The Buckler, a 50-page graphic novel that’s a dark comedy take on the superhero genre.

The best part? The project is already fully funded, so everything raised from this point should be gravy.

Here’s the official plot synopsis taken from The Buckler’s Indiegogo campaign page:

I’m absolutely thrilled to launch The Buckler! The 50 page graphic novel, featuring the debut of the modern day supervillain. a man who will go to any lengths to take back what’s his, Take control of his own narrative, and seize the city that tried to reject him.

Backers can get a digital version of The Buckler for $10, while physical copies start at $30. If you have some extra cash to spend, you can also pick up a separate “origin” ashcan book, as well as original artwork including pages, sketches, and even the book’s painted cover.
