Razörfist’s Western Graphic Novel “Ghost of the Badlands” Scaring Up Big Bucks via Indiegogo

“This place is already known as ‘The Badlands,’ but now we have to deal with ghost hauntings? I’m packing it all up and going back to Texas.” -Anonymous Badlands resident
Independent comic book creator George Alexopoulos (aka GPrime85) and prominent YouTube culture critic Razörfist launched a crowdfunding campaign for Ghost of the Badlands, a 105-page graphic novel presented in black and white (as well as versions in color… blech!).
The project is already fully funded, having raised more than $220 thousand at the time of this writing and unlocked multiple stretch goals along the way.
Written and created by Razörfist (The Long Moonlight) and illustrated by Alexopoulos (Mari Sue), Ghost of the Badlands is a western adventure “inspired by storytelling traditions both East & West” featuring a “masked phantom wanders the Arizona badlands during the 1890’s distributing justice!”
Here’s the official pitch taken from the Ghost of the Badlands Indiegogo campaign page:
Who is the Ghost? Man or myth? Flesh or phantom? Is he a ghostly stranger who wandered out of the Arizona desert to deal divine judgment upon the modern Gomorrah of Canyon Diablo? Or is he a survivor of godless effrontery… plucked from his grave by beings unknown, to visit upon evil men the ravages to which they subject the weak? Whatever his origin, the result is the same: Gunfight after gunfight, body after body, coffin after coffin, legend soon grows of this phantom of the high desert.
The badlands swirl with whispers of a lone pistoleer. A one-man vendetta ride, wielding a mechanical weapon of the Old World, to cleanse the heathen with hails of gunfire. Rumors soon circulate of an entire army, cloaked in shadow, his faceless foot soldiers. Eventually, folk find a name for this mute, masked missionary of death…
THE GHOST OF THE BADLANDS.
