If you make a reservation at Hotel Constantinople, you’ll be staying in Istanbul…

Independent comic book creator Per “Narwhal” Berg launched a crowdfunding campaign for Hotel Story, a 120-page fantasy graphic novel.*

The project is already fully funded, having raised more than $11 thousand at the time of this writing.

Co-written and colored by both Narwhal and Jared Jewell and featuring line art by Jewell, Hotel Story is the first of a two-part series, though Narwhal assures backers that it is a standalone story that can be read in isolation.

A Night of Smoke and Mirrors at Hotel Constantinople

The Witch Salome casts a six-part spell from the top-floor suite of Hotel Constantinople, a mass sacrifice to renew an ancient contract.

A lucky few avoid the first enchantment, and in the chaos have to decide to make a run for the roof, or to stay and try to defeat Salome.

Backers can get a copy of Hotel Story for $27. If you have more cash to spend, you can also receive a supplemental book The Making of Hotel Story, or a second story titled The OBOL.

It is also worth noting that there is an additional shipping charge starting at $9 for those in the United States.
