SEGA may consider releasing “Yakuza 3, 4 & 5” on PS4

It’s safe to say that SEGA’s Yakuza series has experienced a bit of a renaissance lately thanks to the good will surrounding the most recent releases.
In a recent interview with PlayStation Access, Yakuza series producer Daisuke Sato indicated that after the release of Yakuza Kiwami 2, SEGA may consider releasing the rest of the numbered installments on PS4 if there is enough interest from fans.
Sato-san also indicated that Yakuza Zero and spinoff title Yakuza Ishin were his personal favorite installments of the Yakuza series. Unfortunately, he didn’t leave much hope that Ishin would ever be given a Western release due to its reliance on historical references to Edo-era Japan.
Yakuza: Dead Souls wasn’t even mentioned.
SEGA seems to be listening to customer feedback these days, so if you want to see Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 on your PS4, let them know. It probably wouldn’t hurt to buy a copy of Yakuza 6 or Yakuza Kiwami 2, either.
Maybe even buy a second copy for a friend.
Yakuza 6 is available now on PS4. Yakuza Kiwami 2 releases in North America on 28 August.
