Film adaptation of Alterna Comics’ “The Chair” now available on Amazon Prime

As of 5 October, the film adaptation of The Chair is available to stream via Amazon Prime. Based on the Alterna Comics graphic novel by Peter Simeti, The Chair stars Bill Oberts Jr., Noah Hathaway, and the late Roddy Piper in his final film performance. Terror Films adapted the graphic novel to the screen with Chad Ferrin in the director’s -er- chair.
The Chair follows the story of Richard Sullivan, a man on death row, struggling to escape his grisly fate. Pitted against a sadistic Warden and his crew of cruel prison guards, Sullivan is forced to confront his own horrifying past as he questions his sanity at every turn.
With the release of The Chair on Amazon Prime, Terror Films kicks off a month-long promotional campaign known as “Freaky Fridays”, in which Terror will release a new horror film every Friday in the month of October exclusively for Amazon Prime members in North America. According to The Chair creator Peter Simeti, the film will only be available via the Amazon Prime service until early November. However, there are plans for The Chair to be distributed to other platforms over the next year or two.
