“Cuphead”, “Ori and the Blind Forest” could be coming to Switch… sort of (Rumor)

*Note: this post includes information that has not been officially confirmed by either Nintendo or Microsoft. It originates from a French source, and can we ever really trust the French? I mean… really?
As part of a deal to bring Xbox Game Pass to the Switch, French gaming website Jeuxvideo is reporting that Xbox One-exclusive titles could be playable on Nintendo’s hybrid console.
Jeuxvideo went on to list two games specifically by name, Ori and the Blind Forest and Cuphead. At the moment, it’s unclear whether these games would play natively on the Switch or of they’d stream via Microsoft’s X Cloud, but the latter seems more likely. I’m sure Nintendo Switch owners would be thrilled to get the chance to play some of the Xbox One’s killer apps on their system of choice, but I’m not sure if I’d recommend playing Cuphead in handheld mode. If the X Cloud stream starts to lag, you’re likely to snap that Switch clean in half.
This seems like a great time to revisit that video of a Games Beat journalist sucking buffalo balls through a straw while trying to play the Cuphead tutorial. Au revoir!
