“Lady Death: Scorched Earth” crowdfunding campaign fully funded on day 1
On Wednesday, Coffin Comics’ latest crowdfunding campaign for Lady Death: Scorched Earth launched on Kickstarter, and much like previous Lady Death campaigns, it became an instant success raising more than $170 thousand in the first twelve hours.
This type of success has become a regular occurrence for Coffin Comics and Lady Death creator, Brian Pulido. Since moving to a crowdfunding model, Coffin Comics has nurtured a dedicated audience and is now regularly shattering their funding goals on both their Lady Death and La Muerta series of books.
Lady Death: Scorched Earth is a 48-page graphic novel written by Brian Pulido and Mike Maclean and features illustrations by Diego Bernard and colors by Cici de la Cruz.
Here’s a breakdown of the book taken from the Lady Death: Scorched Earth Kickstarter page.
Backers can get a digital version of Lady Death: Scorched Earth for $5, while Kickstarter-exclusive physical copies start at $26. Like previous Coffin Comics’ Kickstarter campaigns, there’s a girthy set of exclusive bonuses to fans who spend more, including t-shirts, a set of “metallicards,” variant covers, hardcovers, and artwork prints. The amount of options is really impressive.
