Mythological Fantasy “Elysian Fields: the Pyramid Gambit” Now on Indiegogo

The champions of Hades and heroes of Osiris have an all-out brawl!

Earlier this week, 9 Realms Publishing launched a crowdfunding campaign for Elysian Fields: the Pyramid Gambit, a 60-page graphic novel that follows from the “Zero Issue” that was successfully funded earlier this year.

Written by Michael Oden and featuring illustrations by Marcelo Oliveira Costa, The Pyramid Gambit is a fantasy adventure book inspired by ancient myths and legends. Here’s the official plot synopsis taken from the Elysian Fields Indiegogo campaign page:

The Abyssal Tournament of Champions has begun. Achilles has proven himself worthy of his place through his clash with the first hero Gilgamesh! However, Achilles’ return to peace has been stalled as Hades makes an offer he just can’t refuse. He now joins the ranks of the Champions of Hades alongside Theseus, slayer of the Minotaur, and Herakles, the mighty hero who conquered the 12 labors. Together they will fight to win this tournament, and their next opponent is a foe that has yet to be defeated in the arena…. the champion of Egyptian Lord of the Dead, Osiris.

Backers can get a copy of The Pyramid Gambit for $20. If you have more cash to spend, you can also pick up variant covers, original artwork, a hardcover edition, and even a “support the troops” pack that will help raise money for the Special Forces Charitable Trust. There’s also a perk for the prequel Zero Issue if you want to catch up on the previous story.
