Earlier this month, Zaid Comics launched an Indiegogo campaign for Magic Cop 2: White Lines, the sequel to the original Magic Cop book that was similarly crowdfunded in 2019.

Created by the Diaz brothers, Brandon and Phillip, Magic Cop 2 is a fantasy crime story featuring werewolves, witches, monsters and magic (duh), all set against a Miami Vice-esque backdrop.

Here’s the brief story synopsis taken from the Magic Cop 2 Indiegogo campaign page:

Iggy Cromwell, the Magic Cop and his team of detectives investigate the new magical drug, Pixie Dust, after junkies start getting powers from the white glowing powder. When drug lord Arsenic Jones finds out his plans may be foiled, he hires The Headless Hitman to take out these cops for good!

Backers can get a copy of Magic Cop 2 for $25 (either physical or digital). If you have more cash to spend, you can also pick up a poster, t-shirt, a 32-oz “Magic Cup”, original artwork, or an ashcan-sized bonus book featuring Magic Cop’s Detective Greywulf. There’s also options that include the first issue of Magic Cop if you need to catch up.

The best part? The project is already fully funded, so now all that the Diaz brothers have to worry about is fulfillment and stretch goals!… and getting the book finished, I suppose.
