Rob Shaffer Revives the Classic Fantasy Magazine with “Tales of Noveterra”

On Wednesday, independent comic book creator Rob Shaffer launched a crowdfunding campaign for Tales of Noveterra, a nostalgic revival of the classic black-and-white fantasy magazine.
Tales of Noveterra features the writing talents of Shaffer, Edwin Acevedo, Phill Diaz, Mark Middleton, and Eddie Winkler, as well as artwork by Pat Maxton, Joe J. Ball, Allen Alonzo and Preston Asevedo (aka the good Preston).
Here’s the official pitch taken from the Tales of Noveterra Indiegogo campaign page:
The fantasy magazine helped define the sword and sorcery genre. These magazines were filled with amazing art and stories that electrified the imagination. They whisked us away to new lands, where heroes fought monsters, evil wizards and unspoken horrors.
Those magazines were thought lost to time.
