Rich Ayala’s “Roach Balls” Are Itching For Your Scratch

So, are they balls made out of roaches, or…?

On Wednesday, independent comic book creator Rich Ayala launched a crowdfunding campaign for Roach Balls issue 1, an all-new, 68 page comedy graphic novel that is strictly intended for mature audiences. The campaign is already fully funded, having raised nearly $4 thousand at the time of this writing.

Written and illustrated by Ayala, Roach Balls is inspired by underground comics and features a visual aesthetic that blends multiple mediums such as markers and paint.

Here’s the official pitch taken from the Roach Balls Indiegogo campaign page:

NOT GONNA LIE TO YOU.

Rich Ayala’s ROACH BALLS is irreverent, depraved, immature humor aimed at adults. PURE, UNCUT, cartoon-comic pandemonium that you copped from a miscreant in a sketchy, graffiti covered bathroom stall. Once you CRACK this comic open you’re instantly aiding and abetting in the villain’s journey through hostile environments, becoming an accomplice and joining SULLY CUCARACHA in 68 pages of character driven mayhem. THAT’S 68 COMPLETED PAGES AND THE COVER, 100% DONE AND READY TO PRINT!

Backers can get a signed copy of Roach Balls and a glow in the dark sticker for $25. If you have more cash to spend, you can also pick up multiple copies of the book. It is also worth noting that there is an additional shipping charge starting at $10 for those in the United States.
