Splatto Comics launches “Iron Sights” one-shot on Indiegogo… and it’s already 100% funded
Coming hot on the heels of their last crowdfunded success, Splatto Comics announced Sunday that their next project, Iron Sights, is now available to support on Indiegogo.
Written by Richard C. Meyer and Carlos Ivan Silva with art by Ibai Canales, Iron Sights is the story of an Iraq War veteran nicknamed “Ramadi” who inadvertently starts a border war when he rescues a beautiful woman from a Mexican cartel.
There are two backing tiers at the moment. $20 gets you a copy of the 120-page Iron Sights graphic novel, while $40 will get you a copy of the book, plus a poster print of what looks to be Esme, the sexy heroine of the story.
It looks like the wait period for Iron Sights will be shorter than most comic book crowdfunding campaigns, as the art for all 120 interior pages is already complete. There is still some lettering and just a bit of the greytones to complete, but Iron Sights creator Richard C. Mayer fully expects to ship the final product to the printers immediately after the campaign ends on July 15th. Yep, the end date for the crowdfunding period is set for the 15th of July, so that means you only have two weeks to get in on this one.
Richard C. Meyer and Splatto Comics broke crowdfunding records in May with the colossal success of Jawbreakers: Lost Souls. Iron Sights will be the second book crowdfunded by Splatto, though it will likely ship before Jawbreakers which is expected in backers’ hands in September.
At the time of this writing… yep, Iron Sights is already 100% funded having raised $11 thousand, surpassing its $10 thousand goal. Congrats, Splatto Comics! You can take a look at some sample pages below or check out the full Iron Sights Indiegogo page here.
