The crowdfunding campaign for Jack Irons: the Steel Cowboy issue 2 ended on Friday, hitting 268% of its funding goal for a total of close to $7 thousand.

Jack Irons is an 8-issue comic series written by Cody Fernandez, illustrations by Maximilliano D’allo and colors by Matias Laborde. Issue 2 is expected to be 32 pages with an additional 16 pages of concept and fan art, though the series’ creators recently confirmed to us that the final page count could change.

Here’s a breakdown of the plot from the project’s Indiegogo page:

Jack Irons: The Steel Cowboy is a science fiction western set across history with a main character who is over 200 years old and has well over 2000 years of past life memories. Cursed in a past life with the burden of immortality in his next, Jack struggles to find the peace that will forever be denied him.

The year is 2076. In a savage wasteland populated by zombies, mutants, post apocalyptic raiders, aliens, and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, can Jack save what remains of humanity and find a way to end his life? Or will he come to terms with his unique and amazing existence and become the beacon of hope a dying species needs?

So why am I telling you all this if the campaign has ended? Because you still have a chance to get on the Jack Irons bandwagon as project creator Cody Fernandez has opted to leave the Indiegogo page open for one more week to allow late arrivals to snag the book.

There are support tiers to fit almost any budget starting at just $2, and all tiers include digital access to the first issue, so there’s no risk of feeling lost. You can also get both issues 1 & 2 in physical form with any tier over $25.
